INVESTIGATOR 563

Standard motor for an Investigator 563 is 5hp long shaft. Last week, battling dead on into a 20 to 30 knot Southerly buster, our old 5hp was running at just past the "start" position on the throttle, the spray was flying everywhere, but we were doing pretty close to hull speed. So 5hp is plenty.

This is comforting to learn Ian.

The old Johnson that came with my boat is a long-shaft 5hp, and I often wondered about it's suitability.
