Hi all:

Finally got my pop-top back on the boat, after a lot of measuring and fiddling with the struts.

I'm now wondering how secure the four loops of shock cord are for holding the thing down. There still seems to be plenty of give.

I'm thinking I might need some more secure latches of some form. Does anyone have experience for or against changing this securing method?

My boat has 3 screw-down locks, and from another thread on here I believe others have also.
There is a lock either side of the companionway and one in the centre at the front.
They are best described as a bolt, with a large knurled nut, which hinges down from the poptop and slots into an angle fitting with a slot in it. Just tighten to suit.
Would be careful of non-positive locks (bungie has stretch) when trailering as things are inclined to get messy if the wind gets under it
