Anyone chasing a project? The hull, deck, sails and mast are still up for grabs for $2000.
I note that the moulds have yet to find a home. Price for these is now only $500.

For those interstate the eBay listing says they will post for $8.50

Bargain :D

Seriously..it’s a shame to see this . Probably devalues all T.S.s to a point, when a new hull and sails is going for 2k. Unfortunately it’s just the way society changes in its needs for entertainment. I was on the lake last weekend noting there are less kite surfers on the lake now . Once they were everywhere just like windsurfers were thick as flies before that.

Wot next , submarines?

Wonder if the hull includes the lead. 350kg of lead would not be cheap.
The rule of thumb is that the hull of a yacht is usually worth less than one third of the total cost, and maybe even less. Hence lots of hulls sitting in paddocks all around the country.

First site I googled gives a scrap price of 1.75 per kg paid for lead . That over $600 for lead ballast if you can get it at that price.

I suppose you could collect old car batteries and smelt ingots yourself. Somewhat dangerous I guess. My dad used to mold his own lead sinkers often when we’d visit there would be a ladle with molten lead steaming away under the flame of an old kero blow lamp. Wonder what the fumes were doing to him.

Not looking too good for the old hull is it?
