Right now I am very happy to have an Investigator 563. Was diagnosed with NH Lymphoma in March, and now in the middle of 4 months of chemo, which means no sailing. If I had a keelboat, not being able to get to it for 4 or 5 months over winter would be a worry. Meanwhile my little Yara sits happily under her tarp.
Although strangely a few months ago, I bouight a Carbon monoxide alarm from Aldi. and fitted it, and it went off with the boat closed up. Unfortunately our bedroom is quite far away, so we could hear this bipping in the night but did not recognise where it was from. Eventually an irate neighbour told us!
That Marauder 27 has been on the market a number of times and is set up for racing. Has a Volvo saildrive, and saildrives are a no no for me. (Expensive seal replacement on the slip every 7 years.) Volvo is also known to be expensive and difficult to get spares.
