Gumtree is listing an Investigator for sale in Cairns. It looks like a good, original, unmolested example with a decent motor and trailor. The price has recently dropped from $7,400 to $6,700.

I'll try and find out a few more details.

I spoke to Andrew in Cairns about his boat. He did not know the name or sail number but said he would try to find out and list the details in the ad if he did. He said he only had the boat for a few months and purchased it in Townsville. This was the second Investigator he had owned having previously owned one in Tasmania.

Andrew said that the boat was an early model boat which originally had the outboard well in the locker. The window in the front hatch and side window surrounds suggest that it is the later version before the two hinge hatch design. (Not that his matters.) Maybe a previous owner did the upgrade.

This boat has now sold.

This Investigator has made another appearance on Gumtree. Asking price this time is $6,600.
