Post by Tenaciousgreen »

I need 4 stanchions, 2 for each side as I have no lifeline s fitted at this time, Has anyone changed theirs recently and if so any recommendations on makes or where to purchase them from.

Try http://www.biasboating.com.au/Stainless ... _s/336.htm

Most important is to have solid ply backing plates under the deck, larger than the metal bases, and with the edges tapered. Height of stanchion to suit your pulpit and pushpit, but can be a little higher. Some form of tensioning of the lifeline is also important, as the pulpit/pushpit need to take the load of a side force on the wire, rather than the stanchion base.

Thanks for the pics, I have just sourced some locally and should have them by the end of the week.
