Recent trips in my wonderful Investigator

Post by snoopebj »

Castle Bay
Brooklyn ramp to Cowan creek. Three great days with other Investigator friends.

Day sail offshore Port Kembla to Wollongong harbour.
Coffee and donut at the Yachties a chat with friends then a brisk reefed reach back to Port Kembla harbour 20k NE Winds in heavy chop. Investigator handled it with ease. Glad of the large anti cavitation wings on the yammie.
Mast raising with ladder at Port car park.

Nice, Emrys.

You are triggering some envy! I sail alone and single-handed and enjoy it, but it would be a buzz to spend a few days like you have.

Pity you’re up there in Queensland Geoff. You could come with us on our next outing.
The great thing apart from the social aspect is being able to swap info and help each other.
Met other t/s people at Brooklyn ramp and the Investigator is always admired and respected many having previously owned one but upsized because of larger families often with regrets.

Looks great down there Emrys. When I first moored Spritz the guy in the adjacent mooring was a former 563 owner. He loved the boat. Had a big launch now but missed his investigator.

Holy schemoly Ian dramatic photos.
That would be the flood debris washed down from Windsor and Richmond and the upper Hawkesbury.
Pity those poor people having to start all over again.

My kids sail at the Hornsby Kuringai Sailing Club round the corner in Dead Horse Bay. Sailing's off this week end as there are too many logs and other rubbish in the water. Water quality is probably pretty bad as well.

Yes, I feel sorry for the people up river who copped it.

Cheers,
Ian
