Re: type of swage sleeve?
Tdk, I used the standard Whitworths swages which I've just checked and the WW site identifies them as copper with nickel plate. Also I double swagged mine as I'm moored . No issues after many years .

TDK,
You list your Investigator sail number as #39. This is the same as my sail number. How did you determine your number? Do you still have the original mainsail?
Regards,
Ray

Re: type of swage sleeve?
TDK,
It does seem strange to have two Investigators with the same sail number.
I had a look through some old Investigator photos where you can see the sail. The numbers on the alternate sides of the sail are close together and look more like my sail than yours. Also, the Investigator Logo on the top of your sail is upside down. I'd say that a previous owner obtained a number 39 sail from another type of boat (You can see a faint old marking) and put an Investigator logo on it. If my assumption is correct, then the next problem is tracking down Sophie's original number. You might have a later model boat than you think.
If you post a couple of photos of Sophie, someone on the forum might recognise her. In the meantime, I'm happy to share number 39 with you.

Ray,
You seem right about the sail. The only thing I know is her previous name was Avanti. Will post some photos when I put her back in the water. Currently, she is still on hardstand for maintenance. Hopefully, someone could recognise her. I do not really concern about the sail number as I am using this boat for learning sailing and cruising sometime. But I really appreciate your kindness for sharing the number.

Re: type of swage sleeve?
Would this fine craft be Sophie? If it is, Sophie would be a later model boat then mine because of the position of the Investigator sticker. If you have two hinges on the front hatch, then it is much later.

Yes, it is. But there is only one hinge on the front hatch.
