Loos & Co PT-1, Professional tension gauge- to borrow in Tas

Post by cruiserpete »

Hi all,

This may or may not be of interest but I've purchased a Loos & Co Tension gauge (PT-1) imperial not the PT-1M (metric). The PT1 suits imperial cable sizes 3/32,(approx 2.5mm) 1/8 (approx 3mm) & 5/32 (approx 4mm)

Easy enough to convert Lbs to Kg, Lbs / 2.2 = Kg

It's a fantastic device and easy to read. Happy to post to a Tasmanian I563 owner for cost of postbag & return post. Honesty system hopefully allows for its return :-)

Youtube video clip on its use.

Pete, the wire sizes are mostly Imperial anyway. Important to stiffen cabin top otherwise tension just goes to deflect cabin top. There are posts on this site n how to add support under the mast.
