Genoa Track

Post by Steve »

Hey guys,
I have some Genoa tracks to add to my 563 as it doesn't have any, but I'm tying to figure out the best place for them e.g.: on the walkway between the gunwale and cabin, on the side of the lower cab / combing, or on the toe rail. I have shifted my lifeline stanchions to suit. I see the original 563's were sheeted to the cabin roof, I seem to have rows of holes to confirm this.
Any suggestions? pro's and con's?

My headsail is sheeted via side deck tracks and because of its size/cut it wouldn't sheet to the cabin top tracks which like yours are long gone.
As you can see by pic the track is close in to the cabin side

Thanks for the photo no-way, I fitted my new tracks more into the center of the walkway though. Funny enough, when I got into the bunk to tighten up the nuts on the track, I look up and see a row of holes with the same spacing right next to the holes I just drilled, I then felt the need to let fly with a few choice words , my loyal dog went and sat in his kennel for the rest of the day :x
