Legge's Camp Myall Lakes

Post by no way »

Just back from 5 glorious days on the Myalls - a plus after the lousy start to summer.
Just a note FYI.
Legges Camp (Myall Shores) no longer refills gas bottles - new management who reckon compliance was all too difficult - they do still however have fuel.
If you run out its Tea Gardens, Bulahdelah.
As they say "don't leave home without it"

Ozzie,
My boat lives on a mooring at Nerong and I spend all my boating time on the Myalls.
Boat is probably a little heavier than most because of the "luxuries" fitted but never had a shallow water problem it you stick to the channels and are aware of the acceptable short cuts. Whilst under power boat tends to "sink bum down" in shallow water so you tend to get wet feet before you touch.
The lakes are up a little at present so you can back in close to shore in all of the good anchorages.
I563 Assoc have a picnic spot in Boolambayte Ck- "cyclone proof"
