Investigator for sale.

At the age of 81, I won't be sailing her again so my Investigator is for sale. I have not sailed her for a few years and her condition reflects this. She is a little shabby and needs some work, but she is sound and has loads of gear. I sailed her for years around the coast of Mackay in Central QLD, and she is set up for this kind of sailing. If you are interested contact me through this forum for an inventory, or, by email at jaboluna2@outlook.com
With all the gear this is a bargain so no hagglers please; we don't want to waste each others time.
Bobbo.

A sad day indeed to have to sell Zoe Amelia, but something that we will all have to face eventually. The truth is that our Investigators will probably outlast us all by many years. At least I hope so.

My plan is to teach the grandchildren to sail and give one of them the boat when I no longer need it.

Do you have the sail number of Zoe Amelia? This might help track it's further adventures on this forum if the new owner changes her name. Any chance of a photo as well? Good luck with the sale.

Yes, Ray. The great wheel turns. We never think that universal laws will ever apply to us...but they do! I had immense enjoyment sailing this little boat around the Islands offshore the coast of Mackay. The Investigator is a great little boat, and mine has been a magic carpet.
If your plans bear fruit and you can introduce your grandchildren to sailing, it will be a priceless gift. Good luck.
Coming out of a tiny creek at dawn that your shallow draft allowed you to spend the night in - catching the offshore morning breeze and feeling your little boat lift to a gentle swell is a feeling that I don't have words to describe. But it's a feeling most sailors can appreciate.
Yes, it's sad it has to end...but it would be a lot sadder if it had never been. : :D
