Rudder gudgeons

Post by peter yates »

Tricksy came with the standard rudder which had been stripped of its gudgeons which were used on a timber, swing rudder which works fine.

But I wouldn't mind replacing the two gudgeons and the bracket for the tiller at the top on the original rudder.

Does anyone know where I might source these? I don't really want to start fabricating things, so an old set from somewhere would be handy!

You can buy a pair of gudgeons online (Riley 591) from Keeley Marine. These require just a small mod to the rudder to make them fit. The thead called Rudder Gudgeon Replacement has the details.
