I think it may have been that I put a gumtree link in the post or maybe the text “free yacht” got search bots active . I’m always at a loss to understand the operation of search engines . Note my post on my “swinging” keel  .

Either that or we’ve been targeted by Cambridge Analytica. Now Putin knows all about my swinging keel . Crepe!

Gee Ozzie. You can't say that its not a reknown design. Bluebirds had their own division at a number of clubs in Sydney in the 60's and LMYC had one too from memory. They were originally plywood but with the advent of grp the class bloomed. Were very popular before the Endeavour 24 came out. Raced on both out of MHYC in the late 60's. Still had State Titles up until very recently

Sorry No Way, to all current and former Bluebird owners I retract my earlier comments. :|

Interestingly it was my mate who’s son I passed I the ad onto who said they were not popular. He’s owned keelers and sailed on the Lake and raced at club level ( including Endeavour 24) for 40 plus years so I thought he may have known more about them than I did. Perhaps he was thinking of the old timber ones.

He did point out that a another Bluebird was given away for free about 18 months ago locally. Clearly people these days must have the latest, greatest.

Someone has taken up the offer anyway.

I did not mean to thread jack David’s post by the way, it’s just that the last comment I’d made on this thread, strewth, back in March 2016, was on the availability of free yachts.
