Re: Racing on Parramatta River PRSC Winter Series
The rudder on L&D was installed by a previous owner and the original must have been lost. I’d be curious to see the difference too. The previous owner had it on a mooring and the tip had rot in it so I had to trim around an inch off it. I also glassed in the leading edge and tip while I was at i...

Re: Racing on Parramatta River PRSC Winter Series
Hi Peter, thanks for the compliment!! Rolled on Norglass 2 pack expoxy with 3 coats of over and under coats. Unfortunately I had to do it in the street during springtime last year, every time I rolled a coat on all the bugs and bees would fly into it so I had to sand back every coat to get their paw...

Racing on Parramatta River PRSC Winter Series
Had Law&Disorder out for its first sail since the year off for painting and the 100 other things that needed fixing. I had intended in joining race 3 of the Parramatta River Sailing Club winter season but was having a few issues with my setup and thought it better I sort it out first, ended up m...

Re: Boat Number 47
I’ve been thinking about a asymmetrical for my boat recently after seeing another (not Investigator) boat that had a Y shaped flip up bowsprit that pivots at the bow roller. Flips upwards out of the way when trailered and is easily pinned down via a small wire to the ubolt for the trailer hook. Look...

Re: Pop top variants
That Cole pop top looks awesome! As some of you would have experienced, it’s not much fun driving your head into the roof to lift it while you fight the toggles either side all while trying to keep the whole thing steady. The Cole one looks much less infuriating. This requires further “Investigation...

Pop top variants
I’m dreading putting my pop top assembly back together and thought I’d ask here for anyone with a better alternative. I’ve seen people hinge them from the front but I really like being able to stand up in the cabin and look in all directions. Has anyone figured out something better? I’m thinking lik...

Re: Showcase your Investigator
Hi David!
1) Fenders were out (embarrassingly) because we were very much preoccupied with sailing the boat in those conditions!!
2) Undies were attached to my bum at that point doing a very important job but were promptly disposed of once we had managed to tie the boat up after the sail!

Re: Showcase your Investigator
Just adding a couple of photos of a sail we had on Lake Mac a few years ago. Blowing a consistent 15knots+ we put the reef in and the smallest jib I had at the time. Sailed well, lots of helm, but we got hit with a few bullets which made things interesting. The pictures are of Law&Disorder on a ...
