Re: Condensation in the cabin
ONE REPLY? AND ITS THE SAME QUESTION............ SHEEEEEET! I am an atheist (Richard Dawkins Lives) but God apparently helps those helps those that help themselves. I have bought some vents for the bits of the boat that don't allow airflow like the foot end of the quarter berths. When I have done th...

Condensation in the cabin
Went sailing for five days in Autumn and each morning we had condensation. The first morning was bad because we were on the trailer, it was raining hard and we did not have the boom tent up and we were closed up tight. The last night was much better. We were under the boom tent and allowed plenty of...

Re: Sailmaker
The point I'm making, Ian, is that putting in the first reef helped on beat. The weather helm was modest and the boat seemed to be pointing quite well based on telltales on the shrouds.

Re: Sailmaker
No we never did get the plate down. We will get the boat up in the air and have a look soon. I am reluctant to make a call that the boats suffer from excessive weather helm before sailing the boat with a functional centre-plate. I did not copy the rake, only the parallel battens. Worked a treat. I o...

Re: Paynesville in April 2011
Four great days and five chilly nights.
Metung, Paynesville, Sperm Whale Head, Duck Arm, Hollands Landing and Loch Sport. Not in that order and sometimes trips between two close locations included a circuit of Raymond Island. Wind excellent for first two days.

Re: Sailmaker
Sails have arrived. I can't fault Dave Turner, the sailmaker for service. I am looking forward to bending them on and trying them out at Paynesville this coming weekend. Peter
Very impressed with the sails. They fitted perfectly and performed really well in the conditions we experie...

Re: Paynesville in April 2011
My wife and I are planning to get down to Paynesville during the [Vic] school holidays. It would be great to catch up with any I563 owners. We should arrive on the 16th of April. Peter Pip #127 Not a plan now - but an intention. We'll keep a look out for other Investigators. We are members of the P...
